Receipts
Every number on this site has a source. If we cannot show it, we do not say it.
This page is where we show our work. When something changes, we update it here and note the date.
Our claims and where they come from
| What we say | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| The leash clips to a D-ring on the padded chest plate, and there is a second D-ring on the back | The supplier's product listing and photographs, read on 2026-09-22. Both rings are visible in the images we based our own photography on. |
| A pull on the front ring turns him back toward you | Geometry, not a study. The leash attaches ahead of his shoulders, so the force acts across his line of travel instead of along it. We claim the mechanism, not a result, and we do not claim it stops pulling. |
| The size chart | Published exactly as our supplier prints it, chest girth and neck girth in inches and centimetres, converted at 2.54 cm per inch. Not averaged with any other seller's chart. Read on 2026-09-22. |
| Between sizes, size up | The harness adjusts inward at four points and cannot be let out. A public review on the near-identical model reports the largest size running small on an English Labrador. |
| Most orders arrive in 6 to 14 days | Our supplier's own US delivery estimates for this item, read on 2026-09-22: Sep 28 to Oct 04 with 82.6% of parcels inside 11 days, and Sep 30 to Oct 06 with 82.9% inside 13 days. We publish the outer edge. |
| Polyester and nylon webbing, padded chest plate, breathable mesh lining, two side-release buckles, four adjustment points, reflective stitching, reinforced top handle | The supplier's specification and photographs, read on 2026-09-22. |
| It is an over-the-head vest, not a step-in | The supplier's own fitting photographs show it lifted over the dog's head with the side buckles open. We say it out loud because three of the four competitors we checked call a similar product a step-in. |
| Hand wash only, no tumble dryer | The maker publishes no machine-wash rating for this harness, so we publish the cautious instruction rather than invent one. |
| Made for daily walking, not for extreme pulling or sudden forceful tugs | The maker's own printed warning on the listing, read on 2026-09-22. |
| 90-day guarantee, used is fine, nothing to ship back, free size exchange where you keep the first one | Our own policy. Terms on the returns and guarantee page. It is costed into the price, so we can keep it. |
| $4.95 shipping under $65, free at $65 or more | Our own shipping rates, shown in the cart and at checkout before you pay. |
| The Harness and Leash Set adds $15.05 to a single harness | $69.90 shipped against $49.90 plus $4.95 shipping. Both prices are on this store. |
Where it is made and who ships it
- Made in China by a third-party manufacturer.
- Shipped by our supplier from its warehouse in China to US addresses.
- Real delivery times: prepared in 1 to 3 business days, then most parcels arrive in 5 to 11 days. Details on our shipping page.
What we have not verified yet
We would rather list these than let you assume we have done them.
- Our own sample measurements. The chart on this site is the supplier's printed chart. We have not yet measured a sample of all four sizes against it ourselves. When we have, we will publish the date here, and if our measurements disagree with the printed chart we will republish the chart from ours.
- Load testing. We have not load tested the front ring, the back ring or the handle, and no test to a standard we could cite exists for this unit. That is why we publish no breaking strain anywhere on this site.
- Refund and exchange rates. Once we have 60 days of orders, we will publish our monthly refund rate and size-exchange rate here.
How we show prices and savings
One price per size and color: $49.90. No "was" prices, no compare-at, no countdown, no stock bar. The Harness and Leash Set is quoted against our own current single-harness price plus its real shipping, and nothing else. We do not sell the leash on its own, so we never quote a saving against a leash price we do not charge.
Reviews
We use one review app. Review requests go out after delivery, we never pay for positive reviews, and any review that received an incentive is labeled. The count and average on this site are the live numbers from that app, the same on every page. Until real customers leave reviews, we show none.
What you will never see from us
- Countdown timers or "sale ends tonight" every night
- Stock bars or "low stock" without a real inventory count behind them
- Made-up or imported reviews, or a review count we did not earn
- "Was" prices that were never real
- The words escape proof, indestructible or heavy duty, or any breaking strain
- A claim that this harness trains your dog, cures pulling or treats anything
- A 5 to 7 day delivery promise we cannot keep
- Before and after photos without the owner's documented consent
